Science Book Club In-Person
Tebo Library, Hays Public Library, and the Sternberg Museum of Natural History are teaming up to launch a Science Book Club in 2026.
Join the first Science Book Club meeting on January 8th at 6:30pm in the Expeditions Room at the Sternberg Museum.
Designed with a "Night at the Museum" feel, there will be an hour of book discussion paired with 30 minutes of interactive learning to bring help the book to life. Each month, an expert from FHSU will use artifacts from the Sternberg Museum or information from their research to reveal science and history that connect to that month's book.
- January 8 = The Feather Thief (led by Dr. Jackson Roberts)
- February 12 = An Immense World (led by Dr. Lorelei Patrick)
- March 12 = Otherlands (led by Dr. Amanda Peng)
- April 9 = Snake Charmer (led by Dr. Jackson Roberts)
- May 14 = The Last Wild Places in Kansas (led by Dr. Lorelei Patrick)
- June 11 = Everything is Tuberculosis (led by Dr. Maggi Braasch-Turi)
